The other day I finally put a new inner tube in my trials uni after months of inactivity. All went well, except my tire/tube now makes an unpleaseant squeaking/creaking noise when I ride it (It’s definitely the tire, not loose spokes,cranks etc). I thought the tube might be twisted, but I’ve checked and that doesn’t seem to be the issue… Any idea what could be wrong?
Probably just the fresh rubber being a little sticky. Did you put talc (babypowder) on it before installing it? Always a good idea to help avoid pinch flats.
I did put some talc on it, but I think you may be right. I’ll just have to wear it in a bit. Thanks!
