How many people out there have more than one Unicyclist.com email account and are prepared to admit it? The reason I am asking, is because it seems some people make another account, especially to post something cryptic or offensive, without having the reputation of their main account tarnished or affected. If I was a moderator, I could probably look at the IP addresses of posts, and figure out who some of the multi-faced posters are. One that recently sprung forth was McPoop, who seems to have vanished almost as suddenly as he appeared. Another is Monkey Wrench, who seems to be familiar with the forum even though he or she has only posted once. It has been suggested to me that some people may be so crazy, that they end up coming online on the forum and interacting with themself, via their multiple identities. I have only one Unicyclist.com account, and it uses my real first name, even though I have been accused of being Sendfairy (which I am not). If anyone is prepared to expose themself and reveal who their alternate identities are, then good for you. Somehow I don’t expect many to come forward. Otherwise, speculation as to who some of these double-acts really are is welcome. (I’m sorry if we guess wrong). For those concerned about what might happen to them if they come forwards, don’t worry, we won’t hurt you!

i did open an account for GUS, the Gauteng Unicyclist Society
i did this so i can give the email addy gus@unicyclist.com whenever i get an opportunity to get ‘the word’ about the club out there
having an email addy …@unicyclist…sounds more ‘professional’
i logged onto the site to check the mail acc of the gus ID a while ago on one machine here in the office and havent been able to log out and log-in as GILD again yet
occasionally i’ll check the forums from that machine and respond to a thread as gus
this is simply a technical issue and is not done to prevent (futher) tarnishing of the GILD-image

my logins have gone real funny as i need two seperate passwords for the GILD account
one to log onto the site and another to be allowed to post on the forum

I have more than one account. But I have forgotten the passwords for all but the one I use regularly which, perhaps, serves me right. I do need to find out the password for my lbiunithon account because that one I will legitimately use for announcements and web related materials for the annual LBI Unithon. Gilby, if you’re reading this, I sent you email, but am still waiting for assistance.

Okay, you caught me. I do have multiple personalities. My other name is “ocap.” I registered with the web site when it was still a baby. At the time, there was nothing here, so I went for a couple of years without posting anything. When I came back, there was a full unicycling community, but I couldn’t remember my password anymore. So I reregistered.
Pretty boring, huh?

I have made occasional posts to rec.sport.unicycling using my AOL name “Icky slug.” Now that I am finally able (thanks to assistance from other users) to log in to unicyclist.com, I am using the forum system here instead. None of the other voices in my head are into unicycling, so I have only one account.
nope there’s only one treepotato and that’s me! you cannot have two absolutly amazingly brilliant people!
