spine armor - any recommendations?

I have been looking at spine armor. Does anyone have any experience with such things? The goal for me is to find protection for the spine without the chest protection that seems to always accompany what I have found doing searches.

Heat buid up is a concern, but I don’t think I would mind wearing the back part, since my hydration pack causes so much sweat any way.

Some of the spine armor looks too big and wide.

Any suggestions?

You could maybe try a ski shop. Some snowboard armour has back protection without any chest protection.

Muniac has a recipe too.

I’ll probably try the Azonic Z-5 someday. It has the hard shell spine unlike the others.
