Spiderman lll

Anybody going to the midnight sneek?

One of my friends is!
…but I’m not…

Half an hour out here on the east coast.
I know someone that knows someone that already has a DVD quality rip of it.
Talk about 1337 haX0r.

Apparently in Asia pirating is rampant…they have vendors on street corners that just sell pirated movies/CDs.

I’m seeing it at 4:30 tomorrow, and I’m counting down the hours. I’ve been waiting for this since I first saw the preview.

My friend downloaded the movie 300 not long ago…when it was still in theatres.

I’m am so distraught at what I have just seen. They have just ruined the Spiderman franchise. The sexual frustration between Harry and Peter was out of hand, exemplified by the poorly delivered lines, “Go get 'em buddy!” and “You’re my friend; my best friend.” The overall lack of thought put into the fact that whenever Peter goes on a power surge and wears his XxXhArdXcOrEXxX black suit, he turns emo (wtf??). Yeah, the whole she-bang- hair flip, eyeliner, black clothes, mood swings. I don’t even know where the basis for this came from. The whole character development of the “SANDMAN” (ROAR!) was very poignant to watch. He is arguably the most poor villain ever created. I firmly believe the acting sent this film straight to its gloomy pit of mediocrity. There were many moments in which I felt I was watching either a) A student film b) A poorly made Spiderman parody c) Any scene from Harry Potter (cough, Daniel Radcliffe). If you enjoy Spiderman, go watch the old cartoon or Spiderman 1 or 2 for that matter because this movie just doesn’t get it done. Whoever watched this movie and thought, “Hmm, this looks like a winner” must have been the same guy who approved Star Wars Episode I. Spiderman is dead to me. That is all.

That’s your opinion. I am still excited to go see it.

No trust me. I was definately excited as you were. However, those are my opinions after the movie. But who knows, someone may like it. All I know is that someone wasn’t in any of the 4 theaters doing midnight showings here.

No, I will not trust you. unless you were an exact clone of me, with the same thoughs and feeling, then I would believe you.

Like I said before, those were your opinions. Which are gonna be different from tons of other people, and my own.

I have never liked reading movie reviews for this reason. People advise me to not see a movie when what they sucks, I will love.

I never specifically said don’t see it. I’m all for somebody going out and seeing it for themselves and forming a personal opinion, like you are doing. However, in the spirit of a Spiderman 3 thread, I thought I would enlighten the Unicyclist Communtiy on my personal opinions of the film. Take it or leave it.

I know. I was just stating that many times my friends will dread about a movie, or say their friends said it sucked, so they wont see it, and that I shouldn’t see it either. I just dont like that lol.

Hopefully I get to go soon. I was gonna see it tomorrow around 10am, but now I may need to wait a few more days. Im in no big hurry, so it works.

Yeah, I usually like to see things myself as well. But, in all honesty, the special effects and fight scenes were just as good as any other of the series. However, it was the other plot elements that lacked.

Ill be finding out soon. =p Luckily for me, I dont have to pay for any of the tickets or popcorn or anything when I do go! Woohoo!

Last night one of the actors was on the Tonight Show, and they showed a clip. In this clip, a giant construction crane is out of control and swings wildly into an office building, somehow slicing about 40’ deep across one of the corners. Then it swings back and slices through the floor below it, allowing the floor in between to collapse.

For everyone who believes skyscrapers are built of glass and sheetrock, this will be a really cool scene. For everyone else, the ones who have seen buildings under construction, for instance, they will wonder what the producers were thinking. If they think we’re that dumb, what other non-believeable stuff will they have in store for us? Yes, the special effects were excellent, but the idea of a crane slicing a building in half was ludicrous.

BTW, it’s called “suspension of disbelief.” That’s the part where we allow for Peter Parker’s web-shooting abilities and apparent indestructability. While doing this, we should not be required to believe the rest of the world is a cartoon. If they want us to, we should go back to the comic books or they should have made it in the form of a cartoon…

But we’re probably going to go see it tomorrow anyway. The first two were very well made as movies, apart from the special effects and storylines.

i thought it was a great show, loved the action, great special effects, some definite cheese, but what movie is without it’s cheese.

i left happy

I’m going to see it at 7 tonight. That means that in 1 hour and 45 minutes I will be sitting the thearter watching it.

I hope it is good and I think that as long as you don’t take it seriously it will be a good movie.

Yes. I REALLY want to see it. I have 2 friends that went to the sneak preview. Sounds awesome. But, I’m figuring its a fictional/sci-fi movie, not a grade-school film on disasters. So I’ll be ready! =)

I am seeing hot fuzz I get more from comodies…

I’ll probably be renting that one when it comes out on DVD.

I was never all that excited about S3…just don’t see why it’s such a big deal. The first 2 were alright, decent action and stuff, but just not amazing film-making compared to my favorite movies.

I am, however, rather excited about PotC:AWE.

My thoughts exactly. Worth seeing, but what’s the rush? I’ll see it sooner or later…
