So I have to write a speech in my Speech II class and I need some ideas. Here’s the prompt:

You have been hired to promote tourism of a selected location and the slogan that you will use to promote your location is “The Greatest Place on Earth.” Select the spot that you would like to promote and then write a speech to persuade your audience of potential tourists, why this location is the greatest place on earth. What is interesting about this place and why would I want to select this place? The topic should be approved by me and all content must be appropriate for the classroom setting.

I’m having trouble thinking of someplace that’s creative and interesting. I’ve done a version of this speech before and I did Moab and I was thinking maybe Easter Island this time. I feel like there’s some place out there that I’m missing that’s awesome. Any ideas?

How about Sarasota/Venice, Florida? That’s the home of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the Greatest Show on Earth.

Or Baraboo, Wisconsin, their old winter quarters (before someone figured out winters in FL made a lot more sense?). Baraboo is home of the Circus World Museum and might make a more interesting topic.
