Being from Maine, you should know that diving/catching lobster with any method other than specific lobster traps is very illegal. Hope you didn’t get a female with a v-notch on the second tail fin from the right… that’s even more illegal.

Wait, I think I’m thinking of a different spear fishing then you… We go spear fishing in lakes and rivers in the summer, but we wear wetsuits and snorkel gear and swim around among the fish with a spear gun. I doubt you were doing that with a shark??

i released the lobsters i jsut caught them for fun

Also if you catch a female with her eggs out (they are usualy all like stuck up inbetween her legs) its illegal to catch, own, process, and pretty much handle them.
It can be hard to catch though because sometimes they will roll up and protect the eggs so much you can’t tell until they open up during cooking. We had one of them come into our kitchen and the chef explained that in some countries if that happened to the restaurant the restaurant could be shut down if anyone found out.
