I notice dan ride with a low pressure in his tire. I though it was dangerous for breaking the rim during drop.

btw, I love that 270 to crank stall…
that’s kinda what I was thinking after seeing it for the second time. It doesn’t make sense that you’d get in a fight with a security gaurd, especially when you’re as conspicuous as a unicyclist.
Edit: for me, the highlight was tire roll to crankflip, that’s just INSANE.

Really amazing riding, thanks for sharing it. The train tracks clip was really nice and controlled. I found some tracks to do the same thing on a couple of weeks ago…it’s fun isn’t it!

Yes I’d like to know the real story with Zack and the “guy in uniform.” I’m very glad you did not include it in Defect. That would have “institutionalized” the idea that damaging public property (or private property that’s not yours) in the pursuit of unicylcing is somehow not an act of destruction/vandalism. Real security guard or not, it sure doesn’t make Zack look good. But we can only judge what we see unless we hear the story about the before and after…
Low tire pressure:
I’m not the expert (Zack is), but the rule is to keep enough air to keep your rim off the ground. If your surfaces are mostly flat, you can use a lot less than if you’re riding on sharp rocks, for instance. Assume that (when it involves riding only) Zack knows what he’s doing.
Yeah maybe, for those of us who never break rules and shun all forms of violence.
To the rest of us though, who don’t always like getting kicked out of publicly owned areas by useless power hungry rent-a-cops, it sure does make Zack look good and we say go Zack, nice work, take that hat, yeah HAHAHAHA genius.
Great video! best I’ve seen in a while. I liked the no footer crankstall and the 270 to crankstall. I also really liked that tire grab body varial on the slanted thing, how it combines street and flatland.
Excellent movie guys, its Defect standard :p. That conflict with the security has left me wondering what happenend? And wanting to see more of it!

I can understand the insider-humor of the thing, but I’m going to have to lump you in with Zack (until we know the real story) as an it’s-okay-to-damage/destroy-public-property-cuz-I’m-a-member-of-the-public kind of person. It doesn’t work that way. Some security guards (and cops) may have ego problems, but it doesn’t make them wrong about protecting a railing for hands, for instance.
You make it sound like there’s no difference between scratching a railing and walking away, and assaulting a guy who’s trying to do his job. I’m pretty sure assault is a felony. Big difference.
On the other hand, I’m a huge fan of the scene in the original Universe where Dan’s brother destroys that cheap-o, tricycle-technology uni. Many people didn’t get it, but I learned on one of those things. I highly approved.
