Some questions from a new guy

Hi all.

I’m thinking of buying a unicycle and I have a few questions.

First, what should a beginner like myself look for in a unicycle? Are there
different tire sizes and what would be best? Are there some brands I should look
for or avoid? How much can I expect to spend? Where can I learn to ride it, can
I teach myself? Can you think of anything else I should know?

Many thanks!!

Avoid the cheap Taiwanese models. They can be recognized by two bolts at the
base of each fork and a very uncomfortable saddle that is the same at the front
and back. The made in Taiwan sticker is also a dead giveaway.

I was using these in for training kids on and broke a lot of them.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can
picture us attacking that world, because they’d never expect it.

I started riding recently myself, and I found one piece of advice to be very
wise. Someone in this forum recommended that I buy a cheap uni because it was
going to get banged up while I was learning. Now that I’ve been riding for three
or four months, I can look at it and really see how scratched up it has gotten.
