Snowed out.

This past Sunday, I went out for a muni in my local trails. It had snowed quite a bit for 2-3 days, and it didn’t seem that many people had been out to pack down the snow. As a result, it was deep, mushy trails, and I was not able to ride well.

I’m fairly new at mountain unicycling, so I’m hoping that people may have some tips to help me in deep snow. I enjoy a brisk walk through the forest, but I’d much rather ride.

Thanks.

If you want to ride deep snow, you’re gonna want to drop your tire pressure as low as you can (wide rims and a tire like the Duro Wildlife helps). After that, try and keep your pressure even and steady, stopping and starting when you have little traction is harder than slowly ramping up speed and trying to keep steady.

good luck!
