Well, I’m sure I’m not the only one, but I’m snowed into my home. I happen to live downwind from three houses and we have the first one with a fence so all the snow blows down from the houses above and stops right on my driveway. It seems that there has been about 18" of snow or so but I have in excess of 2 feet on my driveway with drifts of up to 4 feet in places.
It’s a good thing there’s plenty of tea, chex mix and cookies in the house.
I got the same blast you did. However I didn’t consider myself snowed in. I rode my uni to work. I opened my front door and the snow was about four inches up onto the door. Since there are three steps up to the door it was deep. I mounted in the doorway and lept into the snow. It overwelmed me after one hop. The snow in the road was only like 6-10 inches deep so I crwaled to the road and rode it (downhill). I was sliding everywhere. It was lots of fun. When I got to my lab I had to force the doors open as there was about 20 inches there. I was really hoping some people would be around so that they would see me riding in the silliness, but it is a ghost town here.

We just have about 2-4 inches of hardpacked snow/ice…great for muni! And just enough to cancel school! I just came in for a second to check my e-mail, I’m headed back out! Woo Hoo!
Well, I cleared my driveway and whipped out the uni. I dragged it up to the top of our development and on the way up a woman neighbor who was clearing her driveway said, “so out comes the little boy in you, huh?”
We’ve got a nice amount of snow here but, call me a wimp, it’s too cold most of the time (-15 to -30 C).
I might have been able to go today, but I was too busy playing Deus Ex, inside where it’s nice and warm. I haven’t been unicycling all week. I’m starting to feel the effects.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll convince myself. Tomorrow is “the ski trip” at school. Everyone is all “stoked, man” about it. Most of my class will be gone tomorrow (they’re skiing). I’m one of the uncool people that opted to stay behind. I hate skiing.
I hope it’s at least not really cold tomorrow. I’m going unicycling! I can always count on unicyclist.com for inspiration.
