Hey all, i’ve got this ongoing project involving these plastic, non-magstripe smartcards.
can anyone identify the model number of this card for me?
this is the most diverse forum i belong to so i figured i’d ask.
I tried holding my smart card reader against your picture of the card but it never connected… couldn’t read any info. Try a different picture?
“Smart Card” is the name of an interface. See: ISO 7816. Most smart cards follow the standard, so you should be able to read the card with a reader that implements the ISO’s standard.
What exactly are you trying to do?
Laundry card?
If that card’s so smart why are you asking us?

Does this project involve hacking the smartcard to put credit onto your account without paying for it, so you can do your laundry for free?

We don’t have accounts, per se.
i just think it’s a bit rediculous that they charge us thousands of dollars and then nickel and dime us another bunch of money to do our laundry.
It’s unethical.
