Has anyone here taken up slot car racing and building as a serious hobby?
I was thinking about this and was wondering what kind of costs are involved and what classes of tracks and cars exist.
That makes me really wanna get my set out again that I used to have fun with years ago, but I doubt it’s all functioning now 
. I seem to remember the bits of track broke a lot and bent at the joints but I suppose that is avoided if you don’t mix and match it too offen.
Yeah I have these thoughts from time to time. I remember that it would take a certain amount of track cleaning and test laps before the cars would go around the track smoothly and unassisted.
When all set-up and in place, it can be loads of fun.
not into slot car racing, but I just saw that they opened a slot car store with a big race track in south Fort Collins, CO. So there must be some interest in it.
