Sure. Fill out the MUni Weekend registration form: http://www.unicycling.com/muni/muni2002/

And order away. I think (Nathan will have to confirm this) you are also eligible for the shirt+video discount.

Order early, as it’s first come, first served. Hopefully I can talk Gilby into delivering your shirt(s) for you…

Yeah, I can bring them back for Max, or anyone else in TCUC that orders one.

Sweet

The video discounted price of $20 is only for people who actually attend.
I’ll write to the video person and see if we can do it for others who order
by Sept 20 - should be possible. If so, then yes we can do the discount for
video+t shirt on top of that.

For a T-shirt, this has to be the most subtle, clever slogan I have seen.

No more training wheel.

Slogans…

A quick GOOGLE search reveals that “LET’S ROLL!” may well be the most popular (redundant) slogan in America today.

You can buy “LET’S ROLL!” bumper stickers, commemorative coins and mugs, baseball caps,
lapel pins, embroidered patches, the Widow Beamer’s book, wall plaques, T-shirts… such an original phrase.

Whatever.

Anyway, have fun Muni-ing! Really!

At least the most subtle, clever one you got.

if i’m offended by a t-shirt, i dont have to buy it

i suspect this shirt may run the risk of offending more hardcore patriotic types who may choose to see it as trivialising the phrase

taking into account the results of sendhair’s google search, this seems unlikely tho

I was going to ask how anyone could possibly find that phrase offensive, but
it didn’t take long for Google to find this (and I’m posting this for all
the other non-Americans here, who were presumably as mystified as I):

Ho hum. Only in America. And if that doesn’t make clear why sendhair finds
it offensive, http://www.sierratimes.com/archive/files/nov/12/raythomas.htm
makes it plainer.

Still seems a bit odd to me that anyone should be offended by it, but each
to his own. And FWIW, from the eyewitness descriptions I’m pretty sure I’d
have been offended by Jamey Mossengren’s Unicon routine. But I
wholeheartedly agree with Jamey and David that those of us who didn’t see it
are in no position to comment.

Re: Re: Slogans for MUni Weekend shirts needed today!

I went to that link and read the article. My first reaction is that it’s silly to trademark such a generic phrase. But they seem to be doing it for a good cause.

Then I read down to the bottom, where the guy with the T-shirt business says he applied for the trademark first, so he should get it–good old capitalism at work. Well, if that’s the way he feels, I’m going to leave my shirts the way they are, just to bug him.

We have ordered a total of about 100 shirts, and one dozen sweatshirts. First come, first served:

I’m partial to a modified version of the first:

Thank God I only had ONE WHEEL!

Final results on the MUni Weekend T-shirts:

In the last week, the “Let’s roll” phrase has appeared everywhere. So much for a subtle reminder. So, on the backs of the shirts, along with a big fat Gazzalodi tire track, it will say “2002 one wheeled Cruz.” This will be repeated on the sleeve, with a little tiny rendidition of the Sobe Lizard Fuel-inspired MUni Weekend logo from 2000 (by John Hooten). This same logo will appear large on the front, with the name and dates of the event.

The shirts will be “Nathan” yellow, with dirt brown and tree green ink. One dozen additional Large shirts will be printed on a pale greenish colored shirt. Plus there will be one dozen Large sweatshirts.

Please note that we also ordered 6 adult Small and 6 adult Medium shirts as well. To order, send in a MUni Weekend registration form:
