My very first AERIAL MUni Video!

Soon after starting I got a bad sprain doing a drop off a big boulder, (Clip included at the end) but I had to continue since Patrick (quadcopter pilot) felt he could never make this difficult hike again, so most of the riding you see was with a sprained ankle!

Filmed with his DJI Phantom quadcopter with a Gopro Hero 3 black edition, Patrick managed to get some amazingly CLOSE follow shots, at my request, flying only a few feet from me! That was a bit unnerving, but a testament to his awesome flying skills! Shot 7/19/14 in Simi Valley, “Hummingbird” trail is rocky, steep and very technical, and the aerial footage really captures it! I believe this type of filming will totally change the game for making uni videos, and I CAN’T WAIT until the AirDog comes out! :slight_smile:

Nice riding and great camera work. I especially liked the view with the camera backing up around 2:25.

Nice riding. You’re right about HQ aerial/drone photography raising the bar for uni video. I find that although many of the perspectives look great, they don’t convey how steep the hills really are, as would footage taken from a parallel position. Hard landing off that boulder - and pretty hardcore to keep riding after that!

Awesome riding! I like the footage, but riding with a sprain is just sick! …in a really cool way!
