I believe this is my first ever post to this news group so, Hi Dee Ho to
everyone!
Sometime ago someone mentioned a DM giraff unicycle with two chains; one on each
sied of the frame. Do they still make them this way and how can I get one here
in the states?
On another subject: I was performing for the Heart Foundation’s annual walkathon
this past weekend and decided to give the course a go on my uni. I and a friend
of mine completed the two mile course in well under 30 min. on our twenty inche
wheels. Part of the course was through the woods so, we even got a shot at some
off road stuff. I think I’ll stick to the stage and leave the mountains to the
rest of you.

DM does indeed still make such unis, but it’s a pain enough getting hold of
one in the UK so I don’t hold out much hope for the export market! Most of his
giraffes are made to order (although you do occasionally see them in the
shops) - I was recently quoted about a year’s delay on his classic design -
the twin-chained 5’-8’ convertible giraffe. They’re not cheap, but they’ll
outlast anything.
