drove in to work today listening to Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album
i firmly believe u should set aside a number of days every month to take some of your classic CDs off the shelf, dust them off and give them a good listen, just to remind yourself why u’re a fan of music
that and the fact that when i’m REALLY fed up with the planet and each and every last single person upon it (present company excluded, off course), i like to listen to something made by someone who could relate
between listening to some of it while driving to the videoshop yesterday (i ended up getting the ‘Animatrix’ - interesting, very interesting) and listening to it driving to work this morning, i managed to listen to the end of ‘something in the way’ just before actually getting to work
i furiously tried to scan forward so i could listen to a snippet of ‘endless, nameless’ while parking the car, but to no avail
the car CD-player just scans too slowly and i parked too quickly
oh well, whatever, nevermind
untill a colleague phones me as he was leaving after his morning shift to tell me that i’ve got “guys singing in my car”
silence being golden, i’d mistaken the silence between the end of my scanning attempts and the unfound start of the ‘hidden’ track as an indication that i remembered to turn off the CD-player
another story added to the long list of ‘dumb things done waiting for the hidden track’
(add your story here, dont make me start a gallery thead)
