should I just buy a profile hub and cranks?

All right, here’s my crank situation:

Every pair of aluminum cranks I’ve used I’ve bent. (I also bent some
cheap steel ones). I’ve decided that 170mm is about the right length for
me. (I just changed my mind about length preference after finding a pair
of 150mm I liked.)

So, are there good cotterless cranks at 170mm I should try, or should I
just skip to the profile splined with the lifetime warrenty? (Does anyone
know the spoke situation – will the spokes that hold in my Suzue hub
still be the proper size for a profile hub?)

I am planning to use this muni for both standard muni stuff, as well as
whatever trials stuff I can find. I am still working on my landing, so
tend to land a lot harder than I should. (Yeah, I feel like I’m about to
spend some money for those profile arms… I guess I just need someone to
tell me I’m making a good decision  )

Going for the Profile setup is my recommendation. I’ve yet to find (or
even hear of) a set of cotterless cranks that can take any amount of drops
before bending - good technique or otherwise.

“You’ll be making a good decision!”. “You’ll be making a good decision!”.
“You’ll be making a good decision!” …some time later… “You’ll be
making a good decision!”. “You’ll be making a good decision!”. “You’ll be
making a good decision!”.

Cheers, Neil
