:(i just got my first uni for christmas but can already ride pretty well. everyone i see in the youtube videos has a trials. i really dont want to be greedy and go out and buy another uni when i just got one but i want to be ablw to hop and do street type tricks got any suggestions?
To answer your question, yes, you should get a trials unicycle. But, with respect to your observation about everyone on youtube using a trials – that isn’t true, there are videos of 36ers, 24’s and many others.

yeah.
you’re gonna have to get a trials.
Eventually you will get one of everything. Face it. The main decision you need to make is in what order, and when to buy the next one.
What are you riding now? (not that it really matters
I thought I wasn’t gonna like the trials when I got one, but now I LOVE it. If you would have asked me 6 weeks ago if I would like my trials better than my 24 street, I would have said no way! I probably ride my 24 10% of the time now.
I would wait a bit before getting a trials, but I’d definitely get one. Remember: you don’t need a trials to have fun.
i learnt on a club freestyle learner uni, i rode it for 6 months, doing hops and stuff, then i bought a trials. The improvement i noticed was awesome, the proper uni for the job is neccesary, but ride your current uni to learn everything you want, get the trials when the learner uni is holding you back too much.
There is lots you can still learn on that first uni.
Couple of ideas: Are you freemounting with both feet? Riding bacwards yet? Idling? really tight turns? All those skills will come in handy no matter what kind of riding you intend to do.
