Shoes.

I had a similar problem finding out which sort of footwear was most appropriate
for unicycling. I found it very difficult to get adequate traction between my
feet and the pedals when it is wet, even with soft trainers. In the end I tried
wrapping elastic-bands round my shoes, to get a better grip. This worked
extremely well, but the elastic bands tended to snap after a short time. I came
to the conclusion that a veruca sock, over the top the shoe might be ideal. (you
know the sort of things people wear in swimming pools). I haven’t tried this
yet, but would be interested if anyone has, (assuming there is omebody out there
with a twisted enough mind to think of it!!!). The other idea I had was to use
rock climbing shoes, but again I haven’t been able to try this.

    Just some ideas....

I assume these were plastic pedals? Get some metal BMX or beartrap pedals.
Either GT DX’s or Odessy Sharkbites. Illegal for hockey but I don’t know anyone
who plays hockey in the wet.
