Yeah, I watched him get TWO gold medals in the X games, but we don’t get NBC, and they won’t allow us to subscribe to them, so we can’t watch the olympics at all.

yup i watched it last night! His first run sucked! But then he came through in the end… like always. Did anyone watch the speed skating? I watched a little, it was fun to see.

Maybe it’s also worth mentioning, that Markku Koski from Finland won the bronze medal… 
yeah i watched it yesterday morning…his first run was his scoring one and it was total ass-kickage. he owned everyone else there…his closest comp. was an american and he even beat him by like 5 points.
Uh… Shaun White was an American…?

Mike Jankowski is a Memphian. He graduated from my alma mater, Christian Brothers High School. CBHS is quite strict and serious. Boys only. Everyone wears a tie. The brothers are the last ones to close the school for any reason. I remember having to go to school on days when the rest of Memphis was out because of snow. Mike graduated in 93. Memphis is warm and flat. He went to college in the Rocky Mountains and got into Snowboarding. He’s the coach of the Olympic snowboarding team. The principal (Brother Chris, I think) said that if we win a medal, he’ll shut the school for “snow day”.
Mike is now a local celebrity. A snow day for CBHS is a fitting tribute, I think.
