Just had a go at a sequence, what do you think?
Love it!
I think you are hurting your rim
I’ve always wondered, how do you do that? Also, imo you should space them out a bit more so that they don’t touch each other. But it looks really cool :).
Yeh I was worried when I saw that. If you zoom in you can actually see a huge bible of air trying to escape around the side, it looks like a balloon. But I hate riding hard tyres, they feel just right for hopping, however obviously from this photo they’re too soft for drops so I’ll pump them up a few psi.
Thanksss
It’s quite easy to understand but it takes ageees if they overlap like this because you need to rub through exactly to the outline of the subject.
I used a feature on my camera that takes 5 frames a second so I had quite a few pictures of me in a different position. Then you use an editor like PhotoShop or GIMP and you add the first picture as the background and add the others as layers. You then apply a transparent mask to each layer consecutively (so for this, left to right) and rub through with the eraser tool to get the subject to come through and repeat until you have all your pictures merged. Alternatively you could just use layers and erase straight through to uncover what’s beneath. If you type in ‘how to create sequence in PhotoShop’ loads of vids will pop up.
IMHO I think it looks better close and overlapping, it just shows the flow better and makes it look more smooth. It’s really just personal preference to how far apart you want them
Looks good except there should only be about half as many of you IMO.
IMHO as an art teacher of 18 years, I like the picture just the way it is. The overlaps make it interesting, and the varied spacing adds interest also. Nice!
Well I’m not an artist or anything but I think the overlaps make the it look really weird, almost like an optical illusion. Cause in a lot of them half of the arm is cut off, but then you look at the tire and they’re on the same plane, so the arm is like disappearing into the next one. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be though, this is just my opinion.
You guys shouldn’t ride so close together; someone’s going to get hurt. Or at least the rim (that’s definitely going to shorten tube and rim life).
Cool shot. Have as many iterations in there as you want. They can be spread out or overlapping even more. Sometimes it’s easier to depict the moves being demonstrated with only the key necessary shots to show the movement.
I’ll definitely pump my tire up a bit.
I was debating wether to have the frames overlapping or spaced out. So I had a look at a few sequences and the overlapping ones just looked so much more interesting and fluid.
Here’s what I mean:

Great picture - really interesting for a newbie to see where you’re leaning formward and back at each point - better than a video.
On a boring point - I don’t like to think of you’re head hitting the steps if you fell backwards on landing - you’re 17 and have a lot of life ahead of you - helmet?
Yep. The overlaps are nice.
It’s interesting for me as well because you never see your self in third person when you’re riding.
I’ll try to wear a helmet next time.
