Semcycle Deluxe Hub

Does anyone know— how long does a Semcycle Deluxe Hub last after it starts to
twist? My crank arms are doing the swan thing. As in they’re not 180 degrees
apart anymore. I’ve been using it about a month now.

How about the Hunter hub, pictured in John Foss’ Sea Otter pictures-- anyone
know when the release date on that will be, or who I could contact to ask
questions about it. (How many spoke holes, etc) Drool, drool:-)’’ ’

This one is probably impossible to answer without X-rays or something. It might
last another year or more (of conventional riding) or it might snap the next
time you try to idle. A good time to order a new one is now…

I wish I had taken a picture of the whole cycle. That 26" x 3.0 tire is huge!
Almost 29". As for the hub, if I’m not already in trouble for showing pictures
of it (nobody has complained yet), your contact person should probably be David

My purpose last weekend was to break the thing if I could (I didn’t), but I’m
not as gutsy as some of those other guys…

Stay on top, John Foss, the Uni-Cyclone http://www.unicycling.com

parts, but about the edge of a bar-b-que grill he had just been riding on

Now would be a good time to order one. But unfortunately the axle already beat
me to it-- it broke today at lunch. I went to hop a landscaping curb and SNAP–
right between the hub and the bearing. Which means that my weight was left
hanging from only the other side of the axle, and that broke the lollipop
bearing holder on that side.
