wow!

pretty good looking!

wow, that is some impressive construction. I hope she is thrilled with it.

Just one question though, why did you use such massive flanges on the hub?

Give us the specs!!

Those giant flanges look epic!

just so it looks nice!

we are saying “Affaire de goût”, like “matter of taste”

Super cool looking!

Yep, we want the specs!

Nice!
Do you have some more detail pictures

Yesss
okay, here the short story (sorry for my bad english)

a few days before a small bike event, (blood-Trail in Luxembourg) my friend Wolfgang from Heidelberg, Germany, called me and asked if I could build a unicycle for his daughter …
It should not be a big job … budget as 80-100 €

Hui, 4 nights for the construction & building… arg :astonished:
No plan of unicycles, parts and equipment, small budget
So I went to the basement, found a 24 "rim, a few old cranks, an ancient elixir brake …
I bought the next day a saddle …

so here I am …

I love Fatbikes and it was clear … knobby tires for SiS (Sleepless in the Saddle)

Then I tried to fix the hub

Great setup and fine craftsmanship indeed !!!

Too bad this great hub & frame are on such a small wheel

That is just sooooo snazzy !!!
Great job Preiss
Thanks for putting up more pictures.

WoW!! Lucky girl! :sunglasses:

merci
I then found that it is not good. I wanted to do it right and did a consolation for the event.
I had made time to do a good job … and I promised the girl to build a special unicycle
I ordered a trail rim in 19"
I made a sketch and turned aluminum for the hub… for the monster hub

As someone who worked to a machine shop in college and learned to use a lathe and mill, I always wanted to machine my own unicycle hub. I feel like even if i did it wouldn’t be nearly as awesome as this. Great work (especially with the ISIS spline).

Looks great. Definitely will stand out among other unicycles.

where are the photos from the first post?

Just beautiful. Chapeau!

Preiss, you have got some serious fabrication skills! Amazing!
