Having just finished reading an article on a photography website, I’ve just learned a new fact in self defense which can be used while you are out on your shiny new trials uni. When threatened or attacked, the antennae off of a nearby car can prove to be an excellent match for a criminal with a knife, although you best bet would be to avoid these type of situations as a whole!

That’s a cool story. I wonder if the antenna was standard military issue. 
With my luck, I wouldn’t be able to find an antenna that’s not either retracted or embedded in the car window. Or I wouldn’t be able to snap it off with my bare hands.
Also, from one point of view, he was out of danger when he decided to grab a weapon and chase after and attack the guy. This might land him in a heap of trouble.
I’ll file this away for future use. And I’ll generalize it too… there are weapons everywhere. You just have to look for them.
