Seat too low?

hey, sorry if this is has already been answered in threads before, and which it prolly has. I just started riding like a week ago, and everything goin’ good , but after i go about a blocks’ length, my quads are killin me. When i sit on the uni i can still barely touch the ground with my tippie toes on both sides. Do i need to higher the seat? or am i puting too much weight on the pedals and not enough on the seat?

Anyway, thanks… appreciate it

Sounds to me like you’re definitely putting too much weight on the pedals; sit down and relax. The more weight you put on the seat, the less stress there is to your legs. It might help a bit to raise the seat, so it’s easier and more comfy to sit on the seat rather than stand on the pedals, but first just learn to sit down.

Re: Seat too low?

JonnyD,

Was that in reaction to me? I was describing how I hop, not how I
ride. I do have most of my weight on the seat OK while riding.
