on the seatpost than the equivalent activity on a standard uni. Falling off
places a much higher load on the seat especially if you drop it. Make sure you
are catching the seat when dismounting.

It should be possible to get a nice strong seat post machined up for a
reasonable fee from an engineering firm. Make it as long as possbile to provide
extra reinforcing to the frame. You’ll probably be looking at about $30 NZ for
time and materials unless you get mates rates.

There are a number of different ways of extending, replacing the seat post. Get
in touch if you want to discuss options

Hi

I have a 5ft giraffe and I am having continual problems with the seat
post bending.

The seat post is near but not over the maximum extension.

Is this a common problem and does anyone know a solution to it - suggestions of
a stronger post etc.

TIA
