seat post / carbon fiber base

I am just assembing a seat made of Roger’s carbon fiber seat base, a tube+airpillow, cover, and Miyata bumpers.
My seat post pillar bracket (fits my Viscount seat really well) is much more curved than the convexity of the carbon fiber base. How did everyone else deal with this? Straighten the bracket?? Get another seat post? Put something in between?
I’d appreciate any hints.
Thanks,
Fred

Fred,

I have seen both but I would recommend the flattening of the seat post.

Cheers

Roger
