I can’t tell you what size screws to use, but I would suggest that since you need to install something new, put bolts in instead - it’ll be stronger & you’re less likely to lose anything in the future. I expect loose screws/bolts would increase the risk of the plastic bumper cracking on impact when you drop.
I had to cut away a bit of the foam that was around the area where the screw projected into, to make a little space for the nut, but that foam was just waste anyway. Nothing has come loose in the years since I installed the bolts. I can’t remember exactly, but I probably used some star washers to help keep things secure. I think I enlarged the screw holes fractionally as well.
While I was at it, I got some old inner-tube and put that around the plastic bumpers - ie. get a length of tube, put the bumper inside it, cut away some bits so you have access to the bolt-holes & whatever else, bolt it all back in place. This has protected the seat & bumpers from occasional drops & it stays looking nice matt black no matter what abrasion it gets.
Karl.
indirect answer: No I don’t know the screw size, but you’re better to
replace them with a nut and bolt - they won’t come out so easily. Use a
big washer to prevent the bolt head coming out through the plastic guard.
Even though there’s the dense foam underneat the metal lug on the seat,
you can still get a nut in under it.

I had problems with the sheet metal screws coming loose quite often on my
Viscount seat. I solved the problem by tapping the screw hole with a 10-32
thread and using a machine screw. Had no more problems after that. Thread
taps should be readily available at local hardware stores and the helpful
hardware folks should be able to instruct in how to use them.

I had the same problem but I gave up on the screws and just wound electrical tape around it. I did it neatly so it looks quite decent.
The simplest solution is to replace the screws with the next larger size:
1/2" #8 sheet metal screws. It isn’t as close to permanent as replacing
the screws with nuts and bolts, but, it isn’t as much work either.
