School project - please help!

Our class have got this history project about Denmark, where we have to present it, as if we should present it to someone from another country. Then i thought, that what would be better than asking someone who actually live outside Denmark.
That’s where i need your help. Please write something that you think describe Denmark, or what associations you get from the word or something like that. If it’s not to much work, then also write what country you’re from. Thanks for helping :D!

UNICON XIII

wish i could have gone

sorry i don’t know anything about Denmark other than this

I think of Denmark as being the country that enjoyed success using nonviolent resistance against the Nazis during WWII. I’m from the United States.

I’m from the United States, and I was in copenhagen for 6 hours during a layover on my way back from Unicon in 2006. I went to the Tivoli gardens, and that was quite a bit of fun.

I didn’t really know much of Denmark at all before I went there, as there is virtually no education in the US on Geography. I assume your assignment was for people who haven’t been there but just hear about it, so I don’t know if I could be of much help.

If you want, I can go more into depth with my little 6 hour experience of Denmark, if that will help you.

:astonished: Is Denmark a real place???

THE Danish!!!

If you only were there 6 hours, you might have made a quick picture in your mind of the country. That means you only have got the most significant things, and thats kind of what im looking for :).

My mom’s dad came to Canada from Denmark, but unfortunately I never knew him. However, some of the bed-time stories that my mom used to tell me were old folk tales from Denmark. I still have the book, and I still flip through it sometimes. All the stories were about people from the small town of Mols doing silly things, getting fooled by practical jokers, and solving problems with ridiculous logic (I guess Molboes have a reputation for being simple, humour-loving people?)

So yeah, when I think of Denmark, I usually think of Mols. And about bread, cheese, beer, and Tonder (where I have some relatives) though that probably doesn’t help you :stuck_out_tongue:

Legos!

Their reputation is for being simple, stupid people with a weird kind of logic. But everyone (I have met,) know that it isn’t true.

Denmark has a lot of hot people in it, right? Or is that Sweden?

That sounds about right.

Denmark makes me think of cycling, skinny dipping, hot dogs, unicycling, Christiania, saunas and Horst.

In that order.

Sifelif, do you have a lisp?

Bahahaha! Love it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah Sweden :stuck_out_tongue:  Well as you may or may not know, Denmark and Sweden have a little bit of history between them ^^ Some wars, some fueds etc. That’s why I have always thought of Denmark as Swedens little brother, you know :stuck_out_tongue: We might have some rivality but in a “good” way like brothers.

Don’t take this the wrong way now, but I think you won’t cause Danes are usually kinda smart  I also think of sausage (pölse) and beer :stuck_out_tongue: You guys can drink & buy alcohol when you’re 16. In Sweden you have to be 18 to drink alcohol and 20 to buy liqiour :o

Something I admire about Denmark is that the government/authorities don’t have a single CCTV camera in a public place.

I think of how the Danish are trying to lay claim to the Northwest Passage because of Greenland, when everyone knows it’s Canada’s!!

Just kidding, I think Danes are great. I love all countries except Tonga

Danes aren’t too bad though.

Thats about all I can remember… Oh its warm in summer.
