Schlump hubs 2023 in RGB frames

Hi there,

Has anyone of you been able to fit a new Schlumpf hub (2023 model) into a RGB frame? It seems that the hole in the bearing shell is not centered, which may prevent the bearing nut from fitting in.
I’ll need to buy a new frame for a G32er, and I wonder whether I should buy a RGB 39er :eyes:

I’m sure @Becky98 used an RGB frame for her geared up rig.

If the natural venting hole is a bit off centred you may find it still is not so far off that you can drill it correctly with the provided jig.

Failing that you could drill the hole in a bearing cap like the official KH frames come stock. As in the locking nub doesn’t go into the fork but the cap has the hole.

I think this is easier to install and know the nub is where it should be but there’s part of me that thinks it relies more on the way you evenly tighten the caps down.

It should work I’d say in either location and the main thing is it has enough metal in the fork to not giggle about.

You could just order a nice Tritão frame set up for these hubs of course. It’s turn out to be my favourite so far… :winking_face_with_tongue:
