This vid reminds me of Luke Collalto. (http://www.youtube.com/user/luke4021 He used to share a channel w/ TeamInsomnia) He’s the only other rider I can think of who ever made a vid of challenging tricks w/o any extra hops.
If he couldn’t do the trick w/o extra hops he didn’t put it in the vid. (haven’t heard anything from him in years though)
His “Sony” is one of my all time favorite vids (it now has a different soundtrack which diminishes it a bit).
It’s like if Sam had been Luke’s padawan… Or wait, is it the case ? 
Luke has a new channel where he posted some vids, including one with Sam. Still insanely clean indeed.
Sam, even though we can tell you’ve progressed with Luke and maybe inspired yourself from him (I mean, who wouldn’t ?!), you have truly developped your own style that is just as pleasant to watch. Some very technical tricks done perfectly and fluidly.

Thanks so much guys. Luke was the first street unicyclist I saw riding, and the first day I saw him he was filming for his video don’t panic. Early caught a trey down a five set…blew my mind…yeah he has been a big part of my motivation and my hero he is still riding but basically only when I ask him to come along. He still beats me in a game of street HORSE most times we ride!
Means a lot to say my videos remind you of his. That’s what I’m always aiming for - hop-less smooth riding. So thanks again.
