sacramento riding

Can anyone help me out with great muni riding in the sacramento area? I will be in the area (I’m a presenter at a conference during the week) around may 9-10 and would like to ride while I’m there. Any info would be very much appreciated! Thanks

Re: sacramento riding

Auburn State Recreation Area
Salmon Falls
Folsom Lake around the Granite Bay area
Many more.

John Foss is your man for this one - he’s local and knows all the good
spots.

mike-

hey, i remember you from moab. i remember you saying you were coming out this way. well, i’m a local to the sacto area and there’s plenty of great trails. joel mentioned some good ones. what are you looking for? technical or easy xc? there’s alot of great technical trails up in auburn which is about 25 miles east of sacto. there’s some easier stuff (but still fun) around folsom lake which would be about 15 miles away from sacto. i should be able to ride with you on saturday (may 10th) if you want. here’s a good link to some trails in the area.

email or pm me if you want to meet up for the 10th. i could try to get some others like foss to ride too.
