Saabs

So im looking for a new car, and right now im looking at getting a used 2000 Saab 9-3.
Do any of you own this car, or have experience with saabs?
I wish i could afford the 9-3 viggen, but its a little out of my range unfoutunatley…

Thanks.

My wife had one. It’s a rocket, with a stiff ride. And the cup holders are too small. Not a problem if you live in Europe, I guess.

I really enjoyed driving it, but my wife doesn’t need a rocket, and wanted something a little more comfortable, and with a back seat that would fit adults more comfortably. Hers was a 2002 convertible.

Not to sound like an annoying old former driving instructor, but at age 18 you don’t need a rocket either. It would be a bad influence on you. Better to get a few more years of driving record under your belt first.

Saab story.

The way i see it, Saabs are easy to get and expensive to fix.

My familly has a 2000 9-3. It’s super fun to drive, especially with turbo. It’s had a few minor problems, but the dealership has fixed all of them under the service plan as far as I know…
I think it is pretty expensive to fix though, and it’s not that great a car to practice when you are first driving because it is setup to feel pretty aggressive. That said, i’ve had a lot of fun driving it around and if you do end up getting one go for the manual version.
