Can anyone else do one? My best time is about 40 seconds
At least two people can get half that on here.
I’m pretty sure another one used to be able to get half that too.
I’m not a speed cuber, but I used to be able to solve one. I can get all except for the last layer corners and edges now though. It takes me a couple minutes though. I should get back into at least solving it, it just sits on my desk, I took most of the stickers off and painted it myself though!
One of the teachers at my school can do one in about the same time I can so I took mine today so we could have a race. I won at about 1 min 20 seconds.
I haven’t even held a rubic cube.
usualy I can solve it in just over a minute, but last year in science I solved one in 49 seconds. the closest I’ve been to that since then was 53 seconds
yep, my best time is 32.43 seconds. my brothers is around 20 seconds. And I’ve solved a 2x2x2 in around 15 seconds, and a 4x4x4 in like…5-6 minutes. I’ve yet to solve the 12 sided rubiks or the 5x5x5.
Oh yeah, my brother collects rubiks cubes
I have a 5x5x5, its very hard. Ive only done it once and it took me 2 days. I have to practice it up so I can do it in a few minutes
james potter can do one in something like 13 seconds.
For years i’ve been torn between keeping going trying to solve it myself, or just looking up and learning a solution, which way did people on here figure it out?
I learned from a book about 4 years ago
OMG I love cubing, my best is only 41 seconds though with the layer method. I have got it like 3 times and got in 40’s many many times. I was learning the Fridrich method but took a break and am learning to blindfold solve it, just started that though. Michael(james_potter’s) best is like 16 I believe, he is really good at them.
KH.
I saw this thing on tv the other day about the rubix cube world championships (I think). Anyway some guy broke the world record solving one in 11.something seconds. There is also the one handed event and a blind folded event which would be so so hard.
My best time ever is 14.53 seconds…at my peak I averaged 18 seconds, but these days it’s closer to 21 seconds.
I used to be second fastest in the world one handed (: My average was 38 seconds and my best was 32 seconds.
Kelly Hickman can solve one, and I’m teaching him over MSN to solve one blindfolded.
I’m not very good anymore, not that I ever was, but my average used to be about 35 and I have to personal bests: both 25 seconds:)
I need to start cubing again, it’s a lot of fun
I get pissed off, and either throw them at something, or peel off the colored stickers and put them where they go. Then I tell people who don’t know how dumb I am that I finished it.
I’m good at giving myself aneurysms trying to do them. My best time is 27.4 seconds.
I figured out how to solve one on my own, then I looked up how to do speed cubing, but I never progressed after figuring out the method. I’d figured that solving it on my own was enough of an accomplishement for me in terms of rubik’s cubes.
+1
I’ve been trying to solve it for 6 months now. I can get halfway through it but don’t know where to go from there. I’m thinking of reading a tutorial, but that would be kind of like giving up.
Has anyone here figured out the cube by themselves?
Edit: Blegas78 has. How long did it take you?
That’s hard to say, because the first one I ever solved was a 4x4, and from the time I got it to the time I figured out how to solve it was about 3 months, so I would say maybe 2.5 months for a 3x3?
Hmm, how many hours a day/week during that time?
I spend about 3 hours a month on it, maybe that’s why I’m progressing so slowly.
