OOOO boy, they are hosting NAUCC next year!!! I can’t wait, but I’m not from there.
And that will be my fist NAUCC and it should be AWESOME!!!

So a decision has been made as to where next year’s NAUCC will be held?
For 1 NAUCC will be held at a colllage called eastern, (I belive). And Redford is a ways outside of detroit
Cool deal. I haven’t been to MI in a few years. It’s nice up there. I have family in Caseville (top of the thumb, on Lake Huron) and in Warren.

I just got off the phone with my grandpa (who lives in Caseville) and he said it was beautiful today. A bit cool, and some rain, but a nice day for golf.
thats sounds about right for Grosse Pointe too but that didn’t stop me from hurting myself transationing to hopping on wheel
Cool, Memphis was my first NAUCC and it was so awsome, I’m going to next years!!
Redford Township is right next to Detroit, to the west. The convention will be at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. Use Google if you want to know where that is. It’s the place where Tucker designed his cars, and where the first Dominos Pizza store was. Also it was the site of the USA nationals in 1985 and 1988. We used a 200 meter (220 yard?) indoor track then, but I think we’ll be outside for '07.
The Redford club is what introduced me to the larger world of unicycling. On my first visit, in Feb. 1980 I learned about the skill levels, and saw that it’s possible to ride with one foot. I couldn’t believe it! I moved away from Michigan in the fall of 1984.
Redford produced some of the early world champions of unicycling:

Deborah Jones and John Foss, Pairs Freestyle Unicon I
Carol Bahorich (Bricker), Individual Freestyle Unicon II

And a few other titles.

Well, as long as we’re updating this thread from 2006, the 2007 NAUCC ended up being held in Saline, MI (near Ypsi and Ann Arbor). It was at a high school that had a really great gym for a unicycle convention. Big basketball court in the middle, and track around the outside of the bleachers!
