RTL Inventory

I was curious as to what the best items you would need to do a race like Ride The Lobster. Items like clothing, parts and anything else.

Please make suggestions and discuss.

Several clean clothe changes…when you have ridden ‘alot’ it’s nice to put on a nice new set of clothes, especially a nice puffy, clean, paddy chamois

I don’t really see extra unicycle items being ‘that critical’ maybe a tube…it’s like a bunch of road rides, what’s gonna break? (also, Bedford will be there with parts)

a big music selection!

go to a nutrition shop and tell them what you plan on doing, things like power-gel and electrolyte powders and supplements will make a world of difference for about $30-$50 Getting together with your team to buy the boxes of these items will save some cost

Clothing wise, I guess it would be recommended to wear cycling shorts and such, right?

With Bedford dealing with the parts, how does that work? Something breaks, he gives you a new one?

Music, got that taken care of. d^_^b

Didn’t occur to me that I should ask about food and supplements. I guess I’ll go to the nearest nutrition shop and find what else might be good.

Thanks Brian.

A basic “Road Rash” kit. People will be pushing the speed, which means people will be going down at speeds faster than they can run.

On that note, a pair of KH Pulse Gloves, or some other system that includes wrist protection, should be considered essential.

A rear-view mirror, whether helmet or eyeglass mounted. As an eyeglass wearer, I’m a personal fan of the Heads Up mirror. They need periodic replacement, but they have the best mirror quality of the eyeglass-mounted models I’ve tried.

That’s a great point, and in that case, I would suggest buying padding with a hard plastic shell, not the ones like KH, and Roach, and 661 4x4’s that we are all familiar with

As was mentioned, you’ll probably take spills at speed…and then add to that, when that happens, you’ll also be completely exhausted…I predict some 'slumping onto the ground kinda UPD’s, and the armour with that nylon material just pulls down from grabbing onto the pavement, and peeling the pad away before your knee touches the road :frowning:

The hard plastic would slide along the pavement and keep you safer

A big bag of Schlumpf gold buttons :frowning:
