Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.
Where they take unmotivated young men and women, and turn them into Officers, gentlemen and ladies.
BTW, I’m a Canadian, we don’t have a similar program. I do believe however, everyone should spend 8 weeks in boot camp, as I did. If for no other reason than to learn how to shine your shoes, do your laundry, your ironing, and to engage in hand to hand combat, in case your weapon fails and the Communists are coming over the next hill at you. End of rant.

ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) is usually a class in a university that helps prepare people for military careers. It teaches military history and culture, and is often taken by people who are looking to join the military after getting their degree.
JROTC (or Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) is the high school version of that. Usually a class, with some extra curricular activities like marching drills, target shooting, etc. There are usually regional competitions, and in many schools it fulfills a Physical Education requirment. (So people take this class instead of PE.)
I believe each ROTC and JROTC group is attached to a specific branch of the military. (In my high school, it was Navy. In college, it was Air Force.)

Ah, CCF as it was known at my school, nothing like seeing a hundred heavily armed 16 year olds in uniform marching in line to make me slighly nervous.
Yeah, ROTC is good if your planning on doing something in the military after highschool. Im still young, but this past year I have looked up alot, and Im really leaning tward the Military. Either Marines, or Rangers. Or I might still live the simple life and go to college like everyone else. But then there’s the part that really wants to go in the Marines/Army and do something real with my life.
What, if GhettoSmurf said Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. Instead of Rotc, maybe then i would’ve known. Also i mean no disrespect to GhettoSmurf for abbreviating it.

So apparently, saying anything that is remotely different than anyone else’s viewpoint, or offering a suggestion, or constructive criticism, or anything that isn’t all nice, fluffy, and happy will now create enemies.
I love this whole PC thing society’s doing nowadays.
