right hub for rim

i have a rim that fits a 20x2.5 tire on it and its 48 spoke holes how do i find out the right hub for it??

Try searching for 48 hole hubs. Unicycle.com have Nimbus, Qu-ax, and Suzue. What kind of cranks and frame are you going to use?
Most people with 20x2.5 tires would want an ISIS hub and cranks I assume, rather than the square taper Suzue hub.

im using a 20 inch nimbus II

If you want it to be stronger and don’t mind spending a bit extra then get the Qu-Ax or Nimbus hub. I am not sure whether the Qu-Ax is ISIS or some other interface. I would go Nimbus as it is cheeper and I have that hub on my MUni and it is great.

If you want to save money and strength is not a huge concern get either the Suzue or 48H UDC cotterless hub.

As far as I know those are your four options.

Your frame has 42mm bearing holders, so if you get the Nimbus or Qu-ax you won’t need shims.

If you were to get the Suzue or the Super-wide UDC 48 hole cotterless (which I doubt you would) they have 40mm bearing outer diameter, and you would need to use shims to make them fit snugly, and if you bend or snap the weaker hubs they are more trouble than they are worth!

The nimbus show in the link is the only ISIS one, the quax one is 10 splined.
The Nimbus one is the best there, and is compatible with more cranks than the quax hub. Plus it has 42mm bearings like the nimbus frame.

The nimbus looks like the better choice.

you are going to have to buy different spokes if you get a different hub.

just a heads up

a different hub than what?

Than the one you have now. It’s a fair bet that if you change your hub or rim, you may need different length spokes.

o alright i see what u mean
