Riding uni vs. biking no hands?

I feel that practicing riding my bike w/o hands when I couldn’t uni helped to excelerate my learning curve a bit. W/ the uni I have to lean forward more.

I would agree mostly w/ that, but upper body corrections can help a bit.

While you learn use a long railing over smooth ground. As you start to be able to not have to hold onto the railing wave you arms around as nessesary, but try to come right back to an “airplane” position, then w/ you hands at your sides. If you are about to fall grab the rail or let the uni drop and run out from it. At some point practice dismounting gracefully w/ uni in fron w/ each foot at a specific spot. I recomend wearing wrist braces.

I dont think there is a difference. If there is however it is too small to really make an impact on im guessing learning to ride. Best way to learn is to do.

I don’t know if I mentioned this. The bike I ride no hands with is a fixed gear (track) bike. I can actually ride it to a stop and then take off. No coasting on these babies
