The year is drawing to a close many of the days are damp. I actually like rain
but riding is seriously hampered by slippy pedals. So I find I’m not getting out
on the wheel enough. What can I do to get a better grip?

Try DX style pedals, the ones BMX rides ride with. They are large and have a
good grip, but go for the ones with the steel studs and not the aluminium studs

Re: Riding in the wet
Arnold,
I got some studded pedals for my Coker, they grip my shoes very well. They work
great when riding, but I wouldn’t want to run into those studs during an
unintentional dismount (fall).
Just call Unicycle Source (1-800-Unicycle) and tell them you want a set of
“Torture Pedals”.

Glue a pair of wellys to your pedals.
sarah don’t try this at home folks.
Re: Riding in the wet
Spiked pedals help the most. In my opinion they prevent injury more than they
cause injury
