Riding in Fountains

Today as one of my many campus adventures I rode through one of the fountains on
campus. It was about a foot deep, main the water coming over the wheel looks
cool and the hydrodnamics are very interesting.

But, my question is there any possible damge, as far as rust etc, that can occur
form this, also how could it be prevented (besdies the obvious of don’t do it)
or taken care of? I have a Miyata Deluxe if that matters.

Re: Riding in Fountains

I’ve been fording rivers (well… streams), and never gave it a thought. I got
my bicycle wet for years with no ill effects. Just make sure it dries off pretty
quickly in the sun or perhaps with a towel.
