Ride the Lobster in Annapolis Royal "The Order of Good Cheer."

Good Sunday afternoon from the right coast of Canada
Last night, Saturday, most RTL riders were on hand for a welcome dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion.
All teams present were introduced and our official Town Crier ( yeah, we do that here, pretty hard to put 400 years of history behind you) inducted everyone into the Order of Good Cheer. This was established in 1605, when the original French explorers decided to have a kegger in the middle of the winter. It raised their spirits and is as much of this part of Nova Scotia as the tides and the bald eagles.

Sorry to rub this in the face of every rider who did not come this year, but there is always 2010.

Oh, Sam Wakeling opened up a wound on his knee playing Frisbee last night. I guess they have him sewed up by now. Too bad Dr. Ken Looi was still in Vancouver, watching fat Tony inhale waffles and maple syrup. Anyway, Sam is no doubt OK. Everyone off to Yarmouth ( south end of Nova Scotia) for an 8:30 start tomorrow ( Monday, June 16.)

Best to all from RTL World Media Centre, Granville Ferry, Nova Scotia on the Bay of Fundy.
