Ride Call -

Location: Oak Park, South of Thousand Oaks just shy of Ventura County/ Los Angeles County Lines

Friday Morning from @9:00 a.m. to @12:00 to ride Lower Suicide Connector. Ride starts with a 2 mile hike up a steep incline to Dead Cow Road. Would like to hike or attempt riding up farther on Dead Cow Road, then turn around and ride down. Time and energy are limiting factors. Hiking time is @45 minutes. Decent could take over 1 hour or a little longer. It depends on how far up rider(s) goes before turning around.

This is a very technical ride in some spots. I will admit that some are too difficult for me, but a more experienced rider would find them challenging and rideable. Over half of the trail going down, is rideable for the advanced rider. You could ride up I guess, but it would really sap your energy. I hike it to save my knees.

Brakes highly recommended, but not necessary. Not recommended for 29ers.

Another rider with vehicle can make this a shuttle ride which would eliminate most of the hike up.

Exit Kanan Road and head North to Oak Canyon Park. Meet in parking lot where you see waterfall right on Kanan.

Here is the trail profile.

Suicide Trail and Dead Cow Road are connected by a trail that comes into Dead Cow Road about 1.4 miles from China Flat. Both the connector trail and Suicide are extrememly rocky and loose. There are some sections that are decent for riding by normal people, but overall these trails are not for the faint-hearted. They make Dead Cow Road look like a bunny hill! Suicide Trail ends at Kanan Road.

If you got an extra muni, get Rayden’s butt to come with you. He might need a lil prodding but hes a trooper. PM him.

(i hate to see some one muni without a partner)

Hey hey. Sounds like too much for my 20" Summit, but I would come anyways if I didn’t have work 10-3 Friday. I only started 2 weeks ago so I hate to give this late of notice.

Next time email me teachndad, I don’t check this every day now. And let me know as soon as possible. Have a fun ride.

hes such a good kid :stuck_out_tongue:

pffft.

Both the emails you gave me didn’t work. The one you sent with and the other one.

Rod,
I’ve met Mango once in Santa Barbara when Kris was doing a demo there. I chat with mango just about every night though. So yeah we are joking with each other.

Let me know next time you plan a ride.
