Edge 102 ( http://www.edge102.com ) is having REM do a free concert
outside the radio station (corner of Yonge & Dundas in Toronto) on
Thursday afternoon.

This is a busy corner in the heart of downtown. There’s no space
other than the street and the sidewalk. I wonder how they’re going to
pull this off.

Well, they’ll probably close down the surrounding blocks from traffic.

But still, even half the crowd from a $50-a-ticket stadium show couldn’t
fit within earshot/sight of the stage. Maybe having it during the day
reduces the numbers more than I think it does.
