Realization

I just made a realization, seems obvious now, but it wasn’t before. The
harder I pull up on the uni for seat out in front hops, the higher the uni
comes. Go figure.

There’s an extreme case of Kris Holm pulling up the unicycle in

Re: Realization

Hi,

One point should be made about this: It’s true that you sometimes have to yank
up fairly hard on the seat, especially for awkward hops in variable terrain.
However I think it is better to think of this motion as more of a quick spring
than a leap. If you snap quickly enough, the tire and uni seem to come up by
themselves. I think it happens in sort of the same way as if you stood on the
ground and just bounced the tire against the ground, launching the uni
vertically, except that you also happen to be along for the ride.
