Re: ultimate wheel?

Hi Tanat,

as I brought up this discussion, I think it’s me to explain what an ultimate
wheel is. It’s just a wheel with pedals, a kind of unicycle with saddle and fork
removed. For convenience to the rider the pedals are much closer to the axel
than at a ‘normal’ unicycle or a bike. Mostly the pedals are screwed directly
into the wheel, wich consist of a wooden circle or a few thick ‘spokes’.

If you are new to unicycling then I recomend to wait some time before trying an
ultimate. It’s much harder to ride than a unicycle and good uni skill is a
preliminary for riding ultimate.

By the way: meanwhile I can make about 10 meters on my ultimate. As I’m an
absolute piggy-back fan, my goal for 1996 is to ride ultimate with anyone
piggy-back. Has anybody done this already?

Regards, Wolfgang

Depending on the weight of the person on the shoulders, this could take a lot of
strength in the legs. I think I’ve seen someone piggy-back while doing seat out
in front (which is kind of the same thing). I have never seen anybody piggy-back
on a ultimate but there are some really good ultimate riders out there.

Good luck. Let us know when you get it. (take pictures)
