The purpose of manufacturing this new seat is to make available a seat that’s comfortable and well
designed right off the shelf, with no modifications required. The second key goal was to keep the
cost down in the same approximate range as the Viscount seat.

The result is really good, in my opinion. It’s just as comfortable as my carbonfibre airseat and
the front handle is much better than a Miyata Front handle, although some people may still prefer
to use a Reeder style handle if they eventually are made to fit this seat.

For those people willing who have already spent the time and money to custom-make a carbon air
seat, I doubt you’d want to switch to the Velo; custom made, hand-built products are always going
to be the best products. But for the majority of unicyclists out there who want a good seat
without having to pay $300 for it, this seat is far and a way the best you can get.

At present, I’m not sure how much the seat will retail for- that’s a better question to ask the
Unicycle.com people. It will be a little more expensive than the Viscount, but I don’t think by
all that much.

Yes- most bikeshops will be able to get it, plus eventually through Unicycle.com as a direct
import (ie payment in CAN$ with no duties).
