Are these things harder or easier to ride than a normal uni?? because i think it should be esier with less balace needed in the horizontal direction. Kinda cool though…

Hi Checkernuts: I have only spent part of yesterday trying to ride this
wheel, but it is much harder than a unicycle. And about as painful as
learing an ultimate wheel. It is a different experienc eto an ultimate
wheel. I am not sure what it would have been like if it had a set and frame,
but a lot of balance is needed, although some of the ways you need it seem
different. By the end of the day I have managed maybe 15 yards with some
success at turning it as well. To go straight I was trying to keep nearly
an equal weight on both pedays to stop it tilting. Cornering is different.
Richard Loxleys has put some pictures up.
This one was made by a couple of friends of mine a long time ago, and
no-one had managed to ride it since that time so thay gave me it. My dad
says he dopubts any are made by companies.

Anyweay my legs are a bit sore today.

Did Rocket nail the freemount on the two-wheel stack? I’m trying to imagine how that would be done. He rode it in the Torchlight parade in Seattle but I can’t remeber him freemounting it. I saw his first foot going on the back pedal in the photos which seems backwards.

Speaking to Rocket at the weekend, he said yes, he can freemount
it. The attempts pictured on my website were of him trying a
different type of mount which he is not yet as good at.
