Today at the finish of a bike ride I heard: “No way! A mountain unicycle? That’s too frickin’ cool!”

This evening, I rode past a couple guys on the sidewalk on my block.
Guy 1: Cool.
Me: Thanks!
Guy 2 (as I rode away): I couldn’t even do that on a real bicycle.
Trawler? Not familiar with this term.
The place where I practice at the elementary school has this wooden corral thing that’s about 20’ in diameter and about 3’ high. I hold onto it to mount before I ride.
Yesterday when I was practicing some parents brought their 3 kids to the playground while I was out there.
After about 10 minutes later I hear the parents yelling a little bit, but I was pretty concentrated. Then they started yelling louder, so I looked over… they were looking at me and yelling?! I didn’t understand what was going on, but then looked at the other side of the corral that I mount from and saw a little set of eye’s spying on me. 
They weren’t yelling at me after all, they were yelling at their child to come back. I guess he had snuck away and wanted to get a closer look.

Riding on the college campus and this kid says to me, “dude, why are you riding a tricycle?” I just shook my head and kept going.
What were you doing at the finish of a bike ride? Did someone there have a unicycle?
My family and I did a fundraiser ride for the school district my wife works for. We rode the 7 mile family fun ride. My wife and girls did it on bikes and I on my muni.

Oakley proker MTB run
My buddy and I did Oakley’s Poker MTB run on our 29er KH munis. 100s of MTBs with many comments. The best was actually original: “You guys are like the stand up paddle boarders of the MTB world!”
The other good one: " I feel like half a man on 2 wheels!"
10 year old on a skateboard as I ride by on my 29 inch:
“Is that all you can do is ride on one wheel?”.

I did say that I’d be putting that one in my quote book.
Riding along a lane today I saw two bicyclists approaching from the opposite direction. As I got closer, it appeared to be father and son, the boy being about 8 or 10 years old, riding earnestly with his head down.
Father was following a few bike lengths behind him, more relaxed.
The boy rode past me, head down, never even glancing at me. I was on a 36 with handlebars, and riding fairly briskly, and he seemed like the first person not to gawp at me on the whole ride.
As the boy passed me, father looked at me, caught my eye, grinned and then said loudly and slowly to the boy (but I think for my amusement) “Now, how observant are you?”
Earlier on the same ride, a man on a horse said, “Where’s the other half?” to which the only reply could be, “She’s at home watching TV.”
Love it!
I had a comment this morning that invoked some deep contemplation of the space-time continuum.
Guy watching intently as I approach says: “your riding that thing so fast you back wheel has caught up to your front wheel”.
Great!
At the end of my ride yesterday I rolled into the parking lot to find a guy taking hits off a bong. He looked up at me as I went by and said “Whoa man, are you for real?”
Was showing my friend my new uni. We live on the second story and our porch is very tiny, just enough room for 3 of us and the uni.
She goes: “I have never ridden one before…” And promptly tries to get on it
Me: “You don’t wanna do it, you’re right next to the stairs.”
Guy on a b*ke: “You’re a better person than me.”
I also got “Who stole your other wheel?”, a variation that was new to me.
I work at a particle physics Lab and we have a large construction project going on, and I saw a little boy(about 8) following a construction worker(probably his dad).
I just on got on the the compound and the boy see my unicycle and I free mount and ride past, as I pass I hear from the boy “WOW”, then his dad said " See! I told you this place is COOL!"
