question about selling my old uni

Hi, I was wondering if any of you could help me. I need to sell my unicycle
but I’m unsure of how much to ask for it. It’s a three year old Savage with
a 24" tire. It’s in great condition because I never got that good at riding
it. (not because I didn’t want to learn but I found out I was pregnant
shortly after buying it and got rather side tracked.) It does have a small
nick on the side of the seat. So any ideas on what it’s worth, or should the
question be what would someone be willing to pay for it. Thanks in advance,
and I apologize if this is out of line.

A new Savage can be purchased for $74.95 from www.unicyclesource.com.

I bought one from my local bike shop a couple of years ago for $95. So that’s
the range you’re looking at. I sold mine to a friend for about $55, I think. It
was still in pretty good condition, but the seat and the tire had some wear.

Check ebay though, I’ve seen a lot of unicycles go for more then I thought they
were worth out there (sometimes as much as they cost new!). I don’t understand
the buying trends there at all.

Thanks I think I’m going to ask around $60 for it. It hardly has any
wear on the tire at all and living right next to a university I don’t
think I’ll have too hard of a time finding a buyer (except for the fact
that there is snow everywhere at the moment)

I think the majority of the price trends on ebay are caused by stupidity
(or lack of research) and impulsiveness. I’ve seen things go for way
more than they would cost new plus shipping. I almost considered listing
it on ebay but I don’t want to deal with receiving payment and than
shipping it to someone far away.
